Zulan is an alias—a persona through which I project myself into the world. I ask that you accept that implicitly.
My name is Bwalya Cameron Chishimba, and I am a software developer with four years of experience.
I began my programming journey as a full-stack web developer. During my three-year pursuit of a BSc in Computer Science, I developed a deep interest in programming languages, the database management layer, and other low-level systems, as well as core web and blockchain technologies.
These technologies form the backbone of modern life, society, and the world as we know it. Among them, blockchain stands out to me as the next great leap—a transformative force that promises to redefine trust, ownership, and value in the digital age. I believe it holds the keys to a more transparent, secure, and decentralized future.
I'm fanatical about this vision, and I'm committed to contributing meaningfully to the next phase of this ongoing masterpiece—a global system woven together by code, connectivity, and collaboration. To help shape its evolution is both my passion and purpose.
Championing decentralized technologies as the future of the internet—building with smart contracts, distributed systems, and trustless protocols at the core.
Engineering from the ground up—understanding data flow, system architecture, and performance for deeply optimized solutions.
Leveraging fundamental web technologies to craft scalable, durable, and future-proof digital experiences.
Crested Crane Academy – ICT Innovators Club
Co-founded the ICT Innovators Club, where I began my programming journey by learning and teaching core programming concepts with fellow students.
Self-Taught
Began working professionally as a full-stack web developer, delivering functional web applications and systems.
Visor Web Technologies
Launched a full-time solopreneur venture building websites, mobile apps, desktop applications, and PWAs for clients and partners.
KIIT University
Joined KIIT University, a top-tier private institution in India known for innovation and research. The program focused on core programming concepts, modern computing technologies, artificial intelligence, and cloud-native systems.
Personal Project
Started building TalkLink, a blockchain-based and terminal-native distributed communication platform exploring decentralized messaging and protocol-layer interaction.
Personal Project
Started developing Verun—a systems programming runtime combining the Versa programming language and VersaDB, a native DBMS.
KIIT University
Completed a rigorous 3-year program at KIIT University, graduating with honors. The degree emphasized strong foundations in programming, data structures, AI, cloud computing, and modern software engineering practices.
I'm Bwalya Cameron Chishimba — though I often go by Zulan — a Zambian systems and Web3-first developer with a deep love for low-level architecture, programming languages, and decentralized systems. My work ranges from building runtimes and databases to pushing forward blockchain-native applications.
I graduated with honors in Computer Science from KIIT University, where I honed my skills in systems programming, AI, cloud computing, and modern software architecture. I approach software with a systems thinking mindset — building lean, scalable, and future-facing infrastructure.
Outside of development, I enjoy reading classic literature and philosophy — from Shakespeare and Nietzsche to Marx, Orwell, and Huxley. I also play basketball to recharge and balance the mental grind with physical flow.
